The University of New Mexico, Valencia Campus is accepting applications for Assistant Professor of Psychology position, which is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position. Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia County, the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of the University of New Mexico. With an emphasis on teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers vocational and technical courses as well as academic transfer courses to the citizens of Valencia and northern Socorro counties. The faculty and staff serve a student body of approximately 2,500 each semester.

Salary: Base salary for the position is $57,000. An excellent package of benefits is provided. Summer teaching is possible and optional with additional compensation.
Summary of duties and responsibilities: Provide 24 credit hours of classroom instruction across the academic year (fall and spring semesters). Responsibilities include maintaining attendance, scholastic, and student records, as well as posting and maintaining office hours as per UNM Valencia Campus policy. Also, there is expected participation in college committee, curriculum development initiatives, outcomes assessment, professional development (directly related to teaching field), classroom technology training, departmental projects, and other areas of service and scholarship as appropriate.
