Director of Behavioral Health Services

An experienced leader is sought for the Behavioral Health Director role at Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI). This position requires a deep understanding of the Outpatient Medi-Cal system and Specialty Mental Health services, coupled with strong business acumen. The ideal candidate will have proven success in program design, implementation, and evaluation to ensure high-quality service delivery, along with expertise in program curation and expansion.

You will oversee a range of behavioral health programs that serve diverse populations, including Medi-Cal recipients, refugees, asylum seekers, and other underserved community members. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will collaborate with the CEO to establish a clear strategic focus for the department, fostering growth, integration, and excellence in service delivery across multiple settings, including office, community, and school-based programs.

In this role, you will also drive grant writing efforts and strategic business development to secure funding, expand program reach, and strengthen the organization’s impact. A strong candidate will also have significant experience with budgeting and fiscal management to ensure the sustainability of all programs.

Salary: $172,000.00 - $220,000.00 (Rate is dependent on license and level of experience.)

A California licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Psychologist), 10 years of related work experience, and 5 years of managerial experience are required for this position.
