The Bilingual Spanish-Speaking Trauma Psychologist will work 30 hours per week (full time) alongside our treatment team to provide culturally responsive trauma recovery services to English- and Spanish-speaking clients across the lifespan. This psychologist will also provide clinical services within our Helping Professionals Program and will participate in our robust clinical training program for doctoral-level psychology students, including providing oversight and supervision to trainees.
Job Duties:
- Provide culturally responsive individual, family, and group therapy to English- and Spanish-speaking children, adolescents, adults, and families
- Provide individual, group, and team support to helping professionals
- Provide an average of 16 to 18 direct client facing hours per week
- Reaching HOPE therapy sessions are scheduled around specific times in which all therapists are available to see clients from the same family. This means that this position must be able to work the 30 hour 8:30-6:30 time with therapy sessions scheduled up to 4 sessions in a row, and up to 9 sessions per day (at most)
- Occasionally conduct trauma-informed psychological assessments
- Provide case presentations and/or trainings at community partner meetings
- Supervise pre-doctoral practicum students and interns
- Attend daily group supervision and weekly individual supervision
- Engage in continued learning (weekly didactic, attend trainings, etc.)
- Administrative tasks (clinical documentation, clinical case management, timecard tracking)
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration (MDTs, Ralston House Therapist meetings, restorative justice victim representation)
- Learning of and adherence to Reaching HOPE’s treatment model for complex trauma in family systems; teamwork and collaboration on all clinical cases; ability to track and verbally respond with therapeutic intervention to fast-paced, dynamic family therapy sessions; ability to hold information pertinent to the individual and the family system and work towards collaborative goals in all sessions
- Ability to work 30-hour weeks with heavy trauma and implement a self-care plan to protect against compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma
- Demonstrate ability to meet or exceed APA’s Competency Benchmarks in Professional Psychology for Entering Practice
Eligibility Requirements:
The following requirements must be met by the start date:
- Completion and conferral of a doctoral degree (i.e., PsyD or PhD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or an equivalent area. Transcripts required.
- Registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agency as a Psychologist Candidate or a Licensed Psychologist
- Completion and passing of a background check
- Fluent in English and Spanish
Financial compensation and Benefits:
- Annual salary: $90,000 for full time licensed psychologist (30 hours per week), $60,000 for postdoctoral level clinician (with pay increase upon licensure)
