The Department of Psychology at Columbia University invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of tenure-track assistant professor to begin July 1, 2025. Area of specialization is open, although candidates with research programs that complement and build on the current strengths of the Department will be given priority consideration. This includes the study of affect/emotion/motivation, social cognition, stress and health, higher cognitive processes, learning and decision-making, and development across the lifespan. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of research productivity and teaching commensurate with the position level. Individuals with multi-method expertise, ranging from behavioral methods to fMRI, modeling, lesion/patient studies, psychophysiology, genetics, etc. are especially encouraged to apply.
